This course is designed for progressing students that wish to specialise in barbering. The course teaches fundamental clipper cuts, short fades, beard grooming, facial massage, hot towels and basic styling. You will then advance to creative cuts, cutthroat shaving and razor outlining, and advanced styling based on trends and themes. This qualification is based on the national occupational standards for barbering and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a senior barber or senior men’s hairstylist.

Hairdressing is an ever expanding, exciting and competitive industry. On this Level 3 course you will gain an increased depth of knowledge and skills, including specialised skills and techniques in creative cutting, colouring, dressing and styling short and long hair. You will also receive training in specialist consultation and treatment services for hair and scalp conditions. In order to gain the product and services promotion unit you will plan, organise and carry out a promotional activity.

Hairdressing Level 1 Course Code: 6293020 If you get below four grade 3(D) - 1(G) at GCSE or didn’t get any formal qualifications after leaving school you can start a Level 1 course.
