Welcome to SDC

Welcome to SDC - your new workplace.
First and foremost, a big congratulations on the job! I am pleased that you have chosen to bring your skills and experience into play with us - and thus help us secure SDC banks’ and their customers’ a great banking experience.
In this guide you will find a lot of practical and general information that can help you to a good start in this new chapter of your working life.
Once again, welcome on board!
Best regards,
The great banking experience
SDC is a full-service IT center that develops efficient and future-proof banking solutions for millions of bank customers throughout the Nordic region. We were founded in 1963, when a number of small savings banks joined forces with a dream of digital bookkeeping. The use of digital technologies is booming, and our pursuit for efficient, user-friendly, and open systems continues to drive us. “A great banking experience at a competitive price” we call it.
When we, at SDC, talk about the great banking experience it means that both advisors and other employees at SDC banks experience efficient and user-friendly systems, but also that we have a responsibility that many end customers - across the Nordic region - have an easy and seamless interaction with their bank. Regardless of whether the customer is serviced via online and mobile banking or through an advisor in the bank.
We uncover all phases of the user’s interaction with our solutions and therefore know exactly what it takes to ensure a great experience on the entire customer journey. This is the knowledge we use when developing our self-service and advisory solutions. What is common for the solutions is that they can be used intuitively and that users feel we take care of their needs.
The competitive price
IT is a crucial competitive parameter in the financial sector and in SDC we are up against the massive IT budgets of the largest banks. However, we have many strengths, and one of them is all of you, competent employees, who have such a great knowledge and experience in developing advanced IT solutions for the financial sector. Employees who are located in Denmark, Poland and Portugal, and who are able to work together to develop efficient, user-friendly and open systems, thus ensuring the great banking experience.
To keep up with the technical level change we have been through in recent years, we have created a modern platform that ensures that we can develop both faster and cheaper than our competitors. It is a strength we need to exploit.
At the same time, we have the great advantage that most of our solutions are used across all affiliated banks in the Nordic countries. This cross-Nordic collaboration makes us unique - and enables us to reap economies of scale and share development costs.
In SDC we are passionate about technology - some might say we are a little nerdy at that point. We do realize that this subject may not be attractive to most bank customers. Instead, they care about whether the bank provides effective, personal service so that they can spend time on more important things than banking and all that doubt and hassle with spreadsheets, annual statements, budgets, and other time-consuming formalities.
Therefore, we strive to communicate that we provide a great banking experience to both bank’s employees and bank’s end customers, so that they ultimately benefit from having time and energy for what is most important – their personal quality time.
The visual identity supports our vision and focus on the great banking experience and reflects that time spent together with close ones is of great value in a digital world where the gap between work and leisure can be difficult to maintain. The great banking experience, that SDC guarantees, brings a relief to people, and gives financial and mental energy to do the things that create joy and quality of life.
In addition, the visual identity supports our vision and strategy for the change that SDC is in the process of. A process to ensure that we can deliver what we are made to provide:
A great banking experience at a competitive price.
SDC is a professional company with deep roots in the financial sector and with a solid history and experience.
Based on professional knowledge combined with the ability for innovation, we want to provide modern, businessoriented solutions that increase the competitiveness of our customers and support “effective banking” and the great banking experience. Here are the ten business areas that make it possible!
All permanent SDC employees and consultants have initials that are typically between 3 and 4 letters.
If you are a consultant, your initials include an X.
In addition, we all have a U or T number. Permanent employees have a U-number, whereas consultants as well as individual testers from our banks have T-numbers. A T-number followed by 4 digits indicates a consultant, while a T-number followed by 6 digits is an employee from one of our banks.
The number is used for a variety of purposes, including login into your computer, when you need to log in to SDC Academy or when using VPN access.
On the SDC Intranet you can find information about everything from project updates and employee terms to strategic objectives; all that is important to know as an employee of SDC.
For example, if you want to read more about a particular business area, you will find it in the “About SDC” menu and “Business Area”. It is also on the Intranet you will find email addresses, phone numbers and room/office information about your colleagues.
In SDC we use Sympa HR as an employee platform. All employees have a personal page where you can see all your information about your employment and performance management, and you can change personal information to use by HR - e.g., bank information, your address and contact information to the next of kin.
At SDC, your work time (and other job conditions) are dependent on your contractual relationship. We have two overall contract relations at SDC Poland: Employment contract or B2B Contract. If you have any questions regarding your contract, please contact Procurement/HR.
We register work time in a system called Promark - you will find a link to the system on the front page of the intranet. First, your working hours (“come/go-time”) are registered and then the hours are distributed on the projects you have been working on (“project time”).
It is also in Promark that you register absence due to illness, holidays, care days, etc. You will get a thorough introduction to Promark and time registration when you start.
Acubiz Expense Reporting is an expense management system for SDC employees that manages work related expenses. All new employees are automatically created in Acubiz and will receive an e-mail with username and password. It is a software as a service system (SaaS) and integrates both with SDCs FO system and Eurocards systems because expenses paid using a Corporate Mastercard are automatically recorded for expensing. There is a separate instance for respectively Danish and Polish employees
In SDC we believe that both working from the office and working from home (hybrid work model) gives you flexibility and opportunity to adjust working style to a given task.
Sometimes our work requires 100 % focus and individual approach, whereas on other days we rely on our team and collaborate with a network of people. Thus, we strongly believe that only a healthy balance between one and the other can lead to efficient and successful performance at work.
You can work from home (or somewhere else where there is no SDC network) via a VPN connection and an app that you must have installed on your smartphone or tablet beforehand.
You will receive an email about this when you start. When you receive the email, follow the setup instructions that you can also find here.
If the VPN connection fails or gives you trouble, you can always contact Customer Support on phone + 45 44 70 20 20.
We have many meetings in SDC - therefore it is important that our meetings are effective, relevant and rewarding for all parties.
We work with PLANT as an internal initiative for an even better meeting culture. This means, among other things, that there must always be a clear agenda for a meeting and that you as a participant know what you are expected to contribute to the meeting.
We have common Area Meetings approx. every two months, in which management informs about current themes. Material from the Area Meetings will typically be available on your area’s site on the intranet.
In addition, there are departmental and team meetings. Check with your manager how and when it is held in your team.
Everyone in SDC Poland, who chooses to work from our office, may enjoy a lunch that is delivered to each of the kitchenettes around midday. This way we want to ensure that colleagues may socialize and share knowledge over a delicious and healthy meal at work.
Please bear in mind that if you expect external guests, are organizing an internal worlshop or a team meeting, you should let the front-desk reception team know about it and more lunches will be ordered.
Before you start, we make sure that a computer, equipment, office supplies etc. have been ordered for you. We will also ensure that you have access and rights to all relevant systems. If you need extra equipment, rights etc., a guide has been prepared on how to order this.
How to get IT Support:

As a supplier to financial institutions throughout the Nordics, IT security and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the Data Protection Act, play a particularly important role in our daily work.
It is therefore a requirement that you are familiar with our IT Security Policy and SDC’s Personal Data Policy. Once you have started, you must therefore complete several online modules on IT security, including data protection.
On the HR Portal, you will find the Personal Data Policy for employees, which explains how SDC processes information about you as an employee of SDC.
To make going to work even more fun, there are a lot of different initiatives and opportunities to socialize here at SDC:
• Cycling club
• Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team
• Board game club
• Monthly Thursday bar
• Chess Tournament
We have many exciting projects here at SDC and therefore always need new, talented colleagues to help ensure the great banking experience.
We would very much like to hear about talented people in your network who are interested in working at SDC. As a new employee, you really have the opportunity to tell “firsthand” what it is like to start up with us and what type of company you have joined.
If your referral leads to employment, you receive a so-called “Referral Bonus”. You can read about the conditions for this bonus on the Intranet.
A good way to attract your network and acquire talented new colleagues is to share SDC’s job postings on LinkedIn. If you are not already following our profiles, you can find them by scanning the QR codes on the right with your mobile.
SDC Academy
Academy is targeted the SDC financial institutions, where they can obtain knowledge about our solutions and the services that we offer. The purpose is inspiration, knowledge and learning, and the platform is full of e-learning, webinars, networks, courses etc., which customers can sign up for.
This is also where we do our IT Security annual training sessions.
SDCX
SDCX or the “Extranet”, as it is also called, is a portal where our Danish and Faroese financial institutions find information about the day-to-day operations, system development, user guides, compliance, project information and much else that helps to support the day-to-day business at our customers. The portal has several thousand visits daily.
For the Swedish and Norwegian banks, we have SDCS and SDCN, which are targeted the Swedish and Norwegian markets.
Here you will find a comprehensive overview of frequently used links. Please note that you only have access to our Intranet and the associated pages once you have started in SDC.
