Air pollution is caused by cars, factories, Engines, Power Lines, Pesticides and a lot more. Pollution is bad for the Earth and people because it can enter the ozone layer causing ultraviolet rays. Air pollution also adds on to acid rain which is bad for animals which results in their death and plants. Pollution could also suffocate people due to entering the climate change and that isn’t right for people to handle especially people who have asthma. Air pollution in the Antelope Valley has also gotten bad, a lawsuit against the power plant on the border of Palmdale and Lancaster was made. The Antelope Valley has a lot of landfills and waste dumps which cause lung and heart diseases caused from the toxic gases landfills let go of and the most dangerous gas would be methane. Waste dumps cause deaths and diseases in animals and humans because they come from chemical residues. Some of the main economic issues that air pollution causes are because of agricultural crops, electricity creation and other fuel usage for homes. Money spent to pay off problems on agricultural issues goes up to $35.7 million for just 27 crops, since crops are very sensitive to air pollution because it affects crops very quick which is a problem to food products. 2,000 to 9,000 people die early from suffering bronchitis, which causes economic problems for funerals or doctors being paid to check on patients costing $260 million dollars. Also respiratory issues which go up to $170 million, and digestive problems that have gone up to $50 million.
