MEET OUR SPEAKERS
Our 16 breakout speakers have been hand selected to provide attendees with the latest tips on how to excel in the hospitality industry. Across our six breakout tracks, multiple experts will highlight their experience in the industry, giving advice on how to handle various situations. Chef Paul Smith is a James Beard Award winner who will update us on his recent success and continuing passion for the restaurant industry. Some new, innovative ideas will be presented, such as Charlie Kempton’s session on the use of robots in hospitality to reduce turnover and labor costs along with a better customer experience. Each of these speakers will
provide a unique discussion that will open the audience’s mind to new concepts.
Not only will there be several interesting sessions by hospitality industry specialists, our second annual Chef and Bartender Showcase will take place on the evening of the 16th. Experience dishes from Myrtle Beach bartenders and chefs as you mingle with other attendees. Cocktails paired with signature dishes will bring the conference to a new level.

Deedre’s general session will educate conference attendees on how to increase their personal and professional opportunities. The core focus of her session is teaching people how to stand out in the world by thinking creatively, embracing humor, and building stronger relationships with others. Interesting people give back, they do not take. This session is designed to entertain, educate and inspire. Attendees will eave with insight on how to build memorable moments and stronger relationships with others quicker and more effectively. Many people get stuck in creative ruts, but this sessions encourages people to tackle their bad habits and embrace better ones for more interesting lives.

WADE’S RESTAURANT
Wade’s Reaturant has been a staple of Spartanburg for over 75 years. It is now run by the third generation of the Lindsey family, Wade Lindsey III and his sister, Anna. Wade’s was recently awarded the 2024 James Beard America’s Classics Award for the Southeast region, a prestigious award given to locally owned restaurants that are beloved for their quality food and community spirit. Hamp, Wade, and Anna will be discussing their history and success within their general session, informing attendees about the value of family businesses and local eateries. From a small grocery store in the 1940’s to a James Beard award in 2024, they are continuing a legacy of homemade food and quality customer service.
