Cub Scouts Bridge to Troop 1 Scoutmaster Marty Price and Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) Mr. T welcomed the new Scouts to Troop 1 as they bridged out of Pack 1. “We are thrilled to have such a great group of Scouts join Troop 1”, said the SPL, adding “their time in Pack 1 has really helped them to grow and be ready to move to the next phase of their Scouting career.”

My Scouting career is just starting out but I have jumped in with both feet. I began 3 years ago with Pack 57 as an assistant Den leader when my son was a Tiger. I have also served as the Fundraising Chair and Hiking Program Coordinator. I currently serve as the Committee Chair for our Pack. Attending as much adult leader training as possible has been my focus. Delivering the best possible program to the youth I serve has become my passion. At the District level I am on the Bill Hart Training Team and a Camp Director for Bill Hart Day Camp. At the Council level I have served as
This is my first year as Woodbadge Staff, and am excited about helping others achieve their goals, as someone did for me. Since 2000, I’ve been involved in den / pack leadership, directed two Cub Day Camps, been a member of the Bill Hart Roundtable staff, the District Training Team staff, and am currently the Bill Hart Training Chair. The kids are adults, but my husband and I continue in scouting because it

Your Wood Badge Ticket The primary purpose of the Wood Badge experience is to strengthen Scouting in units, districts, and the council. The Wood Badge “ticket” represents your commitment to complete a set of 5 personal goals related to your Scouting position. These goals will significantly strengthen the program in which you are involved. In addition, the ticket gives you an opportunity to practice and demonstrate a working knowledge of the leadership and team skills presented during the course. The phrase “working your ticket” comes from a story attributed to Baden-Powell: Upon completion of a British soldier's service in India, he had to pay the cost of his ticket home. The most affordable way for a soldier to return was to engineer a progression of assignments that were successively closer to home. Wood Badge uses this metaphor of a ticket with a single destination, completed in five parts, to represent a single project with five goals for the application phase of the course. “Working your ticket” is the culmination of Wood Badge training. You will apply yourselves and your new knowledge and skills to the completion of items designed to strengthen the your leadership and your unit's organizational resilience in your project or ticket.
Your troop guide will help you with feedback regarding your ticket goals while you are writing them. Your ticket must be approved by your troop guide during the second weekend. Your Wood Badge ticket is

The ticket consists of five specific goals that must be accomplished within 18 months. Upon completion of the ticket, you will have earned your way back to Gilwell. One of your five goals must be related to diversity.
