The plans will be on display in Loughton Library until 12 December. Your comments can be submitted to EFDC using the online questionnaire. THIS IS the single most important issue affecting Loughton for a generation. We urge all residents to respond to the public consultation on the Local Plan – the document that will guide the future growth of the district up until 2033. You only have until Monday 12 December to make your views known. Cllr John Philip, Portfolio Holder for Planning Policy at Epping Forest District Council (EFDC) said “This is your Local Plan. This is our opportunity as a community to ensure development in Epping Forest District takes place how and where we want it to”. The plan aims to provide for approximately 11,400 new homes and approximately 10,000 new jobs across the district. For Loughton, there are thirteen potential development sites providing for around 1,190 residential properties.
