Minnesang (2010)
for Bass Clarinet in B- and Piano
Duration: c.7 minutes
Score: transposed
Techniques:
*The slashed note-head (found for example in bars 21, 53, 81) indicates a sforzando ‘slap’ attack, but one which retains some pitch.
*The harmonics in the sections at 75 and 84 give the desirable results, but it is recognized that the exact pitch available may vary in some cases.
Minnesang was commissioned by Sarah Watts and Antony Clare with funds provided by the Ralph Vaughan-Williams Trust
First performed by Sarah Watts and Antony Clare on 9th March 2011 at St Mark’s ArtSpace, Edinburgh.
This score reflects the state of editorial work and correction as at January 2011
