What I would say to inspire a friend having a hard time. I would say “If you have a problem get over it and go to a friend for advice because you can not just solve a problem by just crying it away”. Also I would cheer them up by any way I could and pull them up out of there seat and tell them that everything will be happy in the end, BUT that's only when a time comes to it for emergencies.
