Chromebook For Learning Project • Any Year 9 student who doesn’t currently have a Chromebook can still purchase their own Chromebook to be licensed in school • The Chromebook will be used throughout their GCSE studies and beyond ‘Chromebooks

make lessons more interactive – I love the quizzes that we complete in different subjects. It’s great also for completing work at home as I can get to my work easily, have access to google and Classcharts and check what homework I have so I don’t miss any!’

Cashless System • As you will be aware Tarleton Academy runs a cashless system which requires parents to create an account. The cashless system is used for the purchasing of items such as; - Lockers - Calculators - Flip-charts - Revision Guides - School trips - Food from the school cafeteria • Queries regarding accounts can be addressed through the enquiry facility on the account home page or by email – cashless@tarletonacdemy.org

School Canteen • Students ‘pay’ for their food by having a biometric scan of their finger (this is not a fingerprint) • Purchases of food will be itemised on your account so you can see clearly what your son/daughter have purchased • Pre-order system available – order at break pick-up at lunch • Students entitled to FSM have an allocation of £1.65 for breakfast and £2.20 for lunch specifically • Please be pro-active and check your account and top up on a regular basis

Final Thoughts – We want it for them as much as you do, each and every one – We can’t fix it if we don’t know it is broken – Year 11 will be here in a heartbeat - make every day count
