PARIS 2019 Preparing for the Trip

PARIS 2019 Practical Packing Pack appropriate clothing for a mix of weathers.

Comfortable footwear.

Share electrical items between friends e.g. Hairdryer.

Plug adaptors, mobile phone chargers & portable chargers Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses.

Refillable water bottle.

Towels are provided by the hotel.

Remember you will spend all day on your feet, so wear very comfortable footwear.

PARIS 2019 Medication We require any prescription medication for your child prior to the visit departing.

Please complete a administration of medication form for your child and return with the medication in a sealed bag to the general office by Friday 28th June 2019.

PARIS 2019 Money Students will need some money for lunches during the trip.

Students are also allowed to bring spending money with them.

They will be responsible for their own money and purchases throughout the trip.

We recommend no more than â‚Ź120

PARIS 2019 During the visit there will be opportunities for which we would like to take photographs to show back in school, and in school media.

If you have not provided consent for your child to be photographed, please inform your child of this to prevent photographs being taken.

If you would like to provide consent please contact the general office.

Students must ask for permission of students and staff prior to posting picture on social media.

PARIS 2019 Day 1 – Tuesday 9th July Wear comfortable clothes and bring a pillow!

PARIS 2019 Visit Safety All students will be allocated a group leader who will supervise their group during the visit.

We will remind students throughout the trip about how to remain safe with regular instructions.

As in any large city, there are specific situations in which you should be vigilant with your belongings, tourists are a main target for pickpockets.

PARIS 2019 Mobile Phones Students will be allowed to use their mobile phones at selected times on the trip.

When walking around Paris students will be expected to keep their mobile phones away for safety reasons.

There will be lots of opportunities to stop and take photographs.

Check your data plan to avoid potential extortionate roaming charges.

PARIS 2019 Personal Safety Students will be provided with Contact Cards that will contain: • Their student identity number for the visit • The visit leader name and contact number • The base contact name and contact number • The address of the hotel Staff will carry the mobile phone numbers of students for emergency use only. This will be collected prior to departure.

PARIS 2019 Group Safety Whilst on the visit students will be informed of emergency meeting points when visiting specific landmarks or sites e.g. Eiffel Tower.

In the event of an emergency students and staff will meet at the identified location for registration.

The group will then move to a safe place.

PARIS 2019 Disneyland At Disneyland students will be allowed to visit the theme park in small groups. Students will be put in groups of a minimum of 3 students.

Staff will meet students at specific meeting points at agreed times throughout the day.

Am emergency meeting point will also be identified.

PARIS 2019 Visit Updates School will keep parents up to date via the school Facebook and twitter pages.

Parents will receive a text message when the group arrives. Text messages will also be sent if the school is delayed both outbound and inbound.
