RETURN TO SCHOOL DATE FOR KEY YEAR GROUPS Dear Parents, Following the outcomes of consultation with Helen Lowey, Director of Public Health for Bolton Authority, and taking into consideration the latest local and national data, the Governing Board has made the decision to open the school to targeted groups from Monday 15th June. However, we will continue to review our position on a regular basis and any significant negative change in the data could result in another closure. At all times, the safety of children, staff and the wider community will be of paramount importance. Schools in the Kearsley and Stoneclough area (and across Bolton) delayed wider opening last week but local Head Teachers are in agreement that we can now go ahead and open the school to Reception, Year 1 and Year 6, safely. PLEASE NOTE: This wider opening applies ONLY to those parents who have REGISTERED for a place and have received confirmation of start and finish times from the school. As you will be aware, the government has dropped plans for children from other year groups to return to school before the end of the school year. We will endeavour to support home learning as best we can by suggesting further online resources and continuing to provide printed home learning packs – to be picked up from school - on a fortnightly basis. The longer term position regarding a full return to school is still unclear – as soon as we have further information we will share it with you.
