WEDNESDAY WORD – “OPENNESS.” LOVE JESUS, LOVE LEARNING, LOVE EACH OTHER. ASSEMBLIES Thank you for coming to the assemblies this week on the theme of Harvest. Wagtails and Eagles all did a fantastic job of getting their messages across in a variety of ways. Have a look on the website and Twitter for photographs. Eagles had a collection for CAFOD and dressed in their brightest clothes to, “Brighten up the Harvest.” They also made a donation to CAFOD and they brought in a tin which will be presented to Ashton Food Bank. Thank you for the contributions. EAGLES’ CLASS MASS This will take place on Wednesday 10th October at St. Oswald’s Church at 9:10 a.m. All family and friends are welcome. Y5/Y6 MATHS WORKSHOP Thank you to all of those parents and children who attended the Maths workshop on Tuesday this week. The slides are available on the website and if you require any of the additional handouts, please have a quick word with the class teacher and we will sort a pack out. The evaluations were very positive as it gave parents a chance to work alongside their children in Maths. SCHOOL OF ROCK St. Edmund Arrowsmith pupils are putting on, “School of
Rock,” next week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7 p.m. and tickets are available to buy from the high school. Our Y6 pupils are going over as part of their transition for a sneak preview. ROCK KIDZ Friday night was equally as brilliant as Thursday and set us all up for the weekend. A huge well done to the children for all of their efforts. Photos are on Twitter, showing what a brilliant week we all had. A HEALTH AND SAFETY REMINDER We have noticed that a number of children have been walking on the wall, on the wrong side of the railings, on the KS2 playground. This is happening before and after school. Please ensure your children do not do this as it is dangerous. HEALTHY SNACKS Please can we remind you that pupils are only allowed to have toast, fruit and water for their morning snack. COME AND SEE The children have completed their first Come and See topic on the Domestic Church. They will be celebrating their new learning next week before they start their new topic on Baptism / Confirmation and Belonging.
