OZZIE’S NEWS – 20.12.19

WEDNESDAY WORD – “MARY.” LOVE JESUS, LOVE LEARNING, LOVE EACH OTHER. WHAT A WEEK!!!!! We have had an amazing week at school and the children have really enjoyed the various festive activities. Monday started with a visit from Pop Project who got the children singing and some of the staff rocking out to some classics. Magpies and Seagulls put on great shows for their families and friends on the afternoon. Y1 had a theatre visit too. Tuesday saw Y2 going out to the theatre and Eagles and Owls performing their Christmas item on the afternoon. Wednesday we had Rock Kidz in the morning performing some of their classics, engaging the children in music. In the afternoon, EYFS and KS1 had a fun-filled session with Santa and all classes had Christmas DVDs, pizza, popcorn and drinks. Everybody looked stunning and sparkly in their party clothes. Thursday was when KS2 all went over to church for an Advent Mass with Father John and Deacon Paul. The children sang the songs beautifully and all of the Y3 and Y4 children received a blessing from Father. The Y5 and Y6 pupils received communion. In the afternoon, Deacon Paul led an Advent celebration in school with all of the children in EYFS and KS1. The choir assisted with the singing. And finally, on Friday, the PTA held the half termly tuck shop, which was a huge success. In the afternoon, the school came together for our Christmas assembly. This was led by our Faith in Action group and Mrs Atherton and all of the children
