WEDNESDAY WORD – “GREATNESS.” LOVE JESUS, LOVE LEARNING, LOVE EACH OTHER. POPPIES FOR SALE Poppies and British Legion goods are for sale after half term. Suggested donation is 20p for a poppy and other goods range from 50p to £1. CHILDREN IN NEED Raffle tickets will be on sale to win a Giant Pudsey. He’s currently watching the children from Mrs Hassan’s office. Tickets cost £1 and will be on sale from the first week after half term. The draw will be made on Friday 16th November. We will all be having a non-uniform day and will be wearing spots for Children In Need in return for a donation for the charity. ASSEMBLIES Thank you for coming to the Sparrows’ and Seagulls’ assemblies this week on the new Come and See theme of Baptism / Confirmation. Have a look on the website and Twitter for photographs. There are also links to our You Tube channel on Twitter so that you can access film clips. SCHOOL CROSSING PATROL After half term, there will be no crossing patrol on the junction of Liverpool Road / St. Oswald’s Road. This is due to the higher priority further down at Ashton lights. However, we have received a complaint today about inconsiderate and dangerous
driving at this junction. Can we please appeal to drivers and pedestrians to be extra careful at this junction. KS1 AND KS2 PARENT INTERVIEWS Thank you for attending these this week and for your comments on the parent / carer response forms. The comments on the Catholic Life of the School and RE lessons will feed into our development plans for the future. NASAL FLU IMMUNISATION All pupils from Reception to Y5, who had not opted out, had this done today. READ, WRITE, INC PARENT / CARER WORKSHOP All KS2 parents and carers are invited to a workshop on Tuesday 30th October at 6:00 p.m. A letter went home about this, this week. PHOTOGRAPHS Tempest will be in school on the morning of Wednesday 31st October. Families will be photographed from 8:30 a.m. in the school hall. If you have any special requests, please put these in writing to Mrs Hassan. OWLETS’ AND EAGLETS’ ASSEMBLY This will take place on Friday 2nd November, from 9:10 a.m. All family and friends are welcome.
