WEDNESDAY WORD – “WITNESS” LOVE JESUS, LOVE LEARNING, LOVE EACH OTHER. FIRST AID TRAINING FOR UPPER KS2 This week, Owls and Seagulls have received an afternoon of first aid training with an outside trainer, George. They have learned about: shock, using the defibrillator, cuts, fractures and have been reminded about using 999 or 112 as emergency numbers amongst other things. The children will all receive a certificate to say that they have completed some basic training. They conducted themselves very well and George said that he had thoroughly enjoyed working with them. STAFF ASTHMA AND ANAPHYLAXIS TRAINING All staff have received a refresher on using the epi pen and administering inhalers to children. Please ensure we are updated straight away if your child has an allergy or asthma, so that we can complete a care plan. Y4 RECONCILIATION SERVICE This week, our Y4s met with Father John, Deacon Paul and Susan to talk about reconciliation and the two services which are taking place tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. and next Saturday at the same time at St. Oswald’s church. Keep that copper coming in and thank you for any contributions. DAILY MILE INFLATABLE TREAT Today, all of the pupils who have regularly completed the Daily Mile over last term, have had a session on the inflatable in the hall. They’ve enjoyed taking part in dodgeball activities. We set up the course each day and the children log their runs with our special monitors on the playgrounds. The children are enjoying the equipment that we are putting out and are encouraged to be as active as possible at break times.
