Preparing for Nursery Toilet training!! (Send in spare clothes in case of accidents)

Talk, sing, play and share books with your child.

Count everyday objects and talk about shapes of objects.

Encourage dressing and undressing as well as putting on coats and shoes INDEPENDENTLY.

Golden Grin Dummies Birthdays are celebrated healthily. You can gift a book to the class, or bring in fruit to celebrate.

We ask for an annual contribution of £12 for the year to help cover the cost of cooking, and providing healthy feasts for festivals..

Settling In In September: Home Visit First session – 1 hour Visit with parent Second session - 1 hour without parent Third session - Child will start their usual nursery pattern and must arrive at the correct time Letter with dates

Nursery Hours 8.30am-11.30am or 12.30pm-3.30pm.

A full day is 8.30-3.30 and includes lunch.

To see if you are eligible for 30 hours entitlement visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk Early start club/ Teatime club are chargeable services £3.30 Any extra hours over funded sessions will be chargeable at £5.50 an hour. This will be invoiced half termly and must be paid for before the start of each half term.

Nursery patterns are fixed for the term and can only be varied by giving notice two weeks in advance to the school office. They will be subject to availability and are not encouraged as we need as little disruption for the children.

Please make sure the children arrive at the Nursery in good time and are picked up promptly. Children can become very anxious when left behind at the end of a session

Times of the Day Early Start club starts @ 7.30am- if your child goes to early start club they will be brought up to Nursery @ 8.30am by a member of breakfast club staff.

Doors will open @ 8.30am - Doors closed and nursery starts @ 8.40am

Lunch is @ 11.30am End of the day- door will be opened @ 3.10pm If your child is not collected they will be taken to teatime club and signed in by a member of Nursery staff.

A charge is made for late collection

Data and Payments We are a paperless/cashless office Shortly after your child starts you will receive a registration for www.sims-pay.co.uk Please register with your own email, Facebook ID etc The username and password are yours we cannot reset them We use this for all bookings such as parents breakfasts, trips, school clubs etc We also encourage you to download the SIMs Parent App which allows you to update your contact information We use email for all letters We will send out a calendar of events each week and key information

Medication It is important we know your child’s medical conditions If these change please inform school On your child’s first day at school we need any long term medication provided such as inhalers etc. – your child cannot start without this If your child has asthma an asthma care plan will be emailed to you please email this back to us before they start If your child has any other complex medical conditions you will need to make an appointment to complete a health care plan

If your child has any diagnosed allergies please let us know

Other Items The car park should not be used to drop off or collect children and there is no parking or waiting on the turning circle – this is for the safety of our children
