Remote and Blended Learning

Blended Learning This will be work set for you to complete if you are at home with Covid and are well enough to work

How to access lessons on Google Classroom 1.

Log into your Google drive using your school account

Click on the waffle in the top right hand corner

3.

Click on the google classroom icon

4.

Click on the class you have

5.

Look for the ‘Blended Learning’ lesson that has been set in your classroom

Remote learning This is when a whole Year group is working from home & some lessons are live lessons online with a teacher

How to find your live lesson To join the session, you need to: 1.

Go to Class Charts

2.

Look for the lesson labelled as Remote Learning

3.

There will be a hyperlink to a Google Meet

4. You should follow that hyperlink at the relevant time for the scheduled lesson.

Expectations of you in live lessons Students are expected to: ●follow the teacher’s instructions for the lesson ●have cameras switched off ●dress appropriately ●use standard English in any language that is typed as part of the lesson - this means you should try your best with spelling, grammar and punctuation. ●mute microphones unless invited to unmute ●ensure that all contributions are relevant to the lesson ●meet deadlines and this will be followed up by your teacher Failure to comply with the above or to follow the teacher’s instructions may result in you being removed from the live lesson and further sanctions upon your return to school.

Live lessons will be recorded.

Additional behaviour guidance Students must not: ●Use any offensive language ●Display any offensive images ●Behave in any way that could be considered unacceptable or disrupts the flow of learning

Getting started •

It will be important that you have a working device and internet access in order to make the most of Blended / Remote Learning, but do not worry if you don’t have either of these things. We may be able to help.
