We have received reports of dangerous road crossing by some of our pupils, where pupils have crossed the road in an unsafe spot or are demonstrating a lack of concentration around traffic. As the days get darker and the weather is so unpleasant, please can we recommend that parents re-walk their child’s route to Oakfield with them over the holidays and check that they understand the dangers. We have been lucky to have both ‘Safer Streets—Be Bright Be Seen’ and Somerset Road Safety assemblies in school this term, however re-educating pupils on the importance of road safety and appropriate road crossing should always be re-visited to ensure the safety of all our pupils. Year 6 gave a stunning performance for parents this Thursday afternoon. Thank you to everyone who supported the show and joined in the singing.
