How does Percy’s Park change with each season?
Year 1 Autumn We explored the weather throughout Percy’s year and matched it to the correct season. We looked closely at the weather in our local area and completed our own weather forecast, using the correct symbols. We know which is the hottest and coldest season in our year in Billingham.
We can name the four seasons in the year and which months are in them.

The children learned about the changes to trees throughout the year and could confidently identify the correct season just from looking at a tree.
We looked at Google Earth to map our route to the local park, John Whitehead in Billingham. We followed directions to get there.
We identified N, E, S & W on a compass and accurately used left and right to turn.
