How many different types can you find? The Journey of a Leaf. What would it be like to be caught in a hurricane? Imagine you are a leaf being swept up by the wind and describe your journey as you fly. Use synonyms to up level your vocabulary. Terrific Timelines Create a timeline of the history events and people that you have learnt about so far. How much can you remember? Make sure to add in some amazing facts. Maths Research Roman Numerals. What are the Roman numerals for the numbers. 1, 5, 10, 100? Can you write any other numbers in Roman Numerals?
Teaching Times Tables Practice your times tables. Write them out to help you remember them (1x3=3, 2x3=6). See if you can find any multiplication songs to help you learn them and then teach the class. Spellings Practice spelling the common exception words. Choose 10 words and describe what they mean. Then use them in a sentence. Write the sentence in your best handwriting.
Wonderful Weather Create a weekly weather tracker that explains how the weather changed over a week. Remember to include the temperature, precipitation and wind direction.
Spanish Create a Spanish animal glossary poster. Remember to include what colours the animals are in your poster.
Safety Shelter Use what you have learnt about weather events to create a weather proof shelter. Make sure your survivors have everything they need to survive inside.
Poetic Shapes Create a shape poem about a type of extreme weather. Make sure you decorate it beautifully to share with the class.
Test the teacher Make you a quiz to test Mrs. Morris and Mr. Dowd with. See if they can get them all right!
Weather printing. Make a piece of art about extreme weather. Use objects that you can paint and use to print onto paper. E.g. leaves, sponges, potatoes or other vegetables.
