Theme: Farm to fork
Instructions:
• Choose and complete at least 6 activities over the course of the half-term.
• Hand in through Seesaw or bring into school.
• Each piece will be worth 1-10 house points.
• We expect you to complete each homework task with care.
• We expect you to complete each homework to the best of your ability.

Create a model of a fire engine.
Be as realistic as possible. What details can you see on a real fire engine? Can you use your DT knowledge to help you build it?
Write a description
You’re on a farm. What do you see,hear, taste, touch and smell?
Create an animal fact file. try and include:
- Name - Picture - Habitat - Diet
Local geography
Find out 5 facts about our town.
Measurement
Can you use a ruler or a measuring tape to measure 5 objects?
Go on a shape hunt
Find out about a different town. This could be either in this country or in a different country. What is the same? And what is different?
Review of a farm. Write a review about a farm you have been to. What did you like about this farm?
Song
Create a song about our town.
Create a fire safety poster
Create a character for a story Your character should live on a farm. They could be a human or even an animal! Draw and describe your character.
Children’s choice
Have your own homework idea linked to our topic or what we have been learning about. Extra points for creativity.

Learn to tell the time.
Learn the value of the money including how to recognise the different coins and start to add coins together.
Learn number bonds to 10, to 20, to 50 and to 100.
English Activities
Practise handwriting.
Write stories.
Read non-fiction books and learn/write facts.
Read poems and write your own.
Read a book and write a review.
Read and spell the words for year 1 and year 2.
