Lomeshaye Life It has been another busy week at Lomehaye Junior School, with lots of fun and engaging things happening. Why not read on to find out more? A huge well done to everyone that attended school over the last week, where our whole school attendance figure was 97.5%. Congratulations to everyone that got to school this week, we are back above our whole school target! Long may our great attendance continue.
Year 5 Macbeth— Year 5 pupils have begun their fantastic work project with our Creative Partner Nicole this week, who will be working with the pupils on their understanding of the characters and motives in the Shakespearean play Macbeth. Pupils will be participating so strongly over the coming few weeks and their work will hopefully culminate in a performance for parents/carers to see. Road Safety— Keeping children safe is a huge challenge for everyone, but we must all do our bit to make sure each child is safe on their way to and from school as well as while they are on school premises. This week and next, pupils at school will be having some assemblies on keeping safe and what they need to remember to do when they are travelling to and from school. Please help you child by reminding them to put their SEAT BELT ON as soon as they get in the car, and by encouraging them to STOP at the side of the road instead of running out into traffic, LOOK carefully for any vehicles which may be travelling along the same road as them and to LISTEN for any sounds of cars that can’t be seen. Your children are precious and should be looked after and educated properly to face the dangers that they will encounter. House Point Winners Afternoon— Congratulations go to the school house PANKHURST for their amazing win last term. They all got to take part in a very special Cinema Afternoon watching the film Aladdin, as organised by Mr. Heseldon. I wonder who will be the winning house next term?
