Lomeshaye Life This has been another great week at Lomeshaye Junior School with many fun and exciting things happening. We have, however, been affected by the winter bug that appears to be upon us as the moment, so our attendance figures are not as high as they have been. Let’s hope this improves as the term moves on, we have certainly got more pupils in school today than we have had on other days this week, so fingers crossed for some improvements. Well done to everyone that attended school over the last week, where our whole school attendance figure was 93.8%. Sadly, this was below our whole school target . Let’s hope that next week our attendance starts to improve. Police Cadets— Well done on another great week for our Year 6 Police Cadets. This week pupils were learning about the dangers of drugs, and really impressed our visiting Police Officers with their knowledge and positive attitudes. Children in Need— On Friday we all came to school dressed in sporty clothes to do something special for Children in Need. Our morning assembly was taken over by a wonderful idea from the School Councillors which involved everyone in school taking part in some great exercise with Joe Wicks. The whole school split up into our two halls and parents joined in too, watching the live streamed video and joining in with the Big Morning Move. All pupils and staff have raised money to send to the charity which will help disadvantaged children in our country.
