Lomeshaye Life Welcome back to school everyone! We hope that you all had a great half term and are ready for some exciting new learning over the next 8 weeks. Why not have a read on to find out some more about what will be happening in the coming weeks at school? Well done to everyone that attended school over the last week. Our first assembly of this new term has been impressive for attendance. This week the whole school attendance figure was 96.9% which is OUTSTANDING news. With 5 Beech achieving 100%. Congratulations to everyone that made it to school this week. I hope that these figures continue to remain high as we go through the remainder of this half term. SENDIA—towards the end of last half term the school was assessed for it’s provision for SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) pupils. A visitor, Mrs Eileen Stubbs, came to spend the day with us in school and listened to presentations, spoke to pupils, parents and saw children working in their different classes. She also spent some time looking at our record keeping and I am very pleased to announce that we were awarded the SENDIA for the coming three years. Special thanks go to Mrs Kelly and the fantastic staff team that work in school to ensure everyone is encouraged to Aspire-BelieveAchieve.

The Life Education Bus—is in school at the end of this week and the beginning of next week. Each class will visit the bus to learn more about staying safe and keeping healthy. The bus will also have some items to sell to pupils for no more than £1.50, if you would like your child to have something they can bring their money to school and we will organise the rest.

Children working with Nicole— this half term we will have pupils that work with Mr Bhatti in the Learning Leaves group working with Nicole, our creative partner. They will be focusing on speaking, listening and writing with her and will also be visiting a local pantomime to help them with their learning . Rights Respecting School—this half term we will be assessed for the Gold Award of the Rights Respecting School. Please could we ask for all parents/carers support in our attempt to achieve this award, it is something which the school have worked very hard for. Look out on newsletters and class letters for more information of how you can support with this endeavour.

Next Week is Parliament Week—School Council Members to visit the Town Hall and the Mayor of Pendle to visit school to give an assembly. Tues 5th Nov—SLICE Assembly afternoon Thurs 7th Nov—1.00-3.00pm Year 5/6 pupils at Tag Rugby Fri 8th Nov—Dr Dianne Davies to visit Year 6 pupils, plus 1.30-2.45 Climbing Event.
