Lomeshaye Life It has been another great week here at Lomeshaye. With parents attending the Eid celebration afternoon organised by Mrs. Safdar and also on Thursday afternoon and evening our creating schools pupils attended a fantastic production to celebrate the work that they have completed with the Young Uns music ensemble. Well done to everyone that attended school this week. Our attendance figures have continued to be good which is a great achievement. The super news for the whole school is that we HAVE MET OUR TARGET, with 96.6% of the school attending and one classes, 5 Larch, achieving 100% attendance. I do hope that this great effort with attendance continues right up to the last day of the year. Eid Celebration Afternoon— On Monday afternoon Mrs. Safdar organised a wonderful Eid celebration event for parents and family members of the school. Everyone that attended had a great afternoon which included a talk from a parent support worker who will be working with school in the coming academic year.
Creating Schools Celebration— On Thursday afternoon and evening, 21 pupils from our school took part in a wonderful celebration event for all of their hard work as part of the Creating Schools project at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens. The children took part in a fantastic performance of their own songs, which were inspired by Helmshore Mill in Lancashire during the Victorian era. Many thanks to Mrs. Brunton, Mrs. Grimshaw and Miss Ciura for their great work on the big day.
