Lomeshaye Life What a fantastic week we have all had at school. With our first Wacky Weekday, a wonderful Sports Day and a superb House Point Winners afternoon with a bouncy castle, who could have asked for a better time? Why not read on to find out all about our great attendance and sports day news. Well done to everyone that attended school this week. Our attendance figures have continued to be good which is a great achievement. The super news for the whole school is that we HAVE MET OUR TARGET, with 97.3% of the school attending and two classes, 3 Maple and 5 Larch, both achieving 100% attendance. I do hope that this great effort with attendance continues right up to the last day of the year. Superb Sports Day— on Wednesday this week the whole school made it to Seedhill to take part in a wonderful sports day event. The whole school walked down to the race track and competed in their House Point teams. Thankfully the weather was great all day for the children and it was so lovely to see so many parents attending to cheer their children on. Special thanks go to Miss Birtwistle for organising such a fabulous day.
Grammar School Open Evenings— There are two local grammar school with open evening events in early July. Ermysted’s Grammar School has an open evening on 2nd July and Skipton Girls Grammar School has an open evening on 10th July. Anyone who would like more information, please speak to Mr. Switzer. Monday 24th June— SLICE pupils to attend the library. Eid Party/Jacobs Join for parents with Mrs. Safdar. Tuesday 25th June— Quad Kids, 10am—2pm. Wednesday 26th June— Year 6 pupils attending Colne Primet Transition Day, Wacky Wednesday in School Thursday 27th June—Creating Schools Performance—Blackpool, Marsden Heights & Pendle Vale Transition Day 1. Friday 28th June—Transition Morning in School, Marsden Heights & Pendle Vale Transition Day 2.
