Autumn 2 Year 3 As Historians we will: Select and organise historical information to present in a range of ways.

As Scientists we will:

Investigate ‘light and shadows’ by identifying light sources; what are man-made and natural light sources and recognising that shadows are formed when the light from a light source is blocked by a solid object.

As Geographers we will: Name and locate significant countries from World War 1. Name and locate the world’s seven continents and five oceans. We will also locate the world’s countries, using maps to focus on Europe (including the location of Russia) and North and South America, key physical and human characteristics, countries and major cities.

In Computing we will:

Continue to use technology safely and respectfully and have an understanding of how to keep information secure; what is acceptable-unacceptable online behaviour. Also, develop search strategies further.

As Mathematicians we will: Gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of written and mental calculations for all of the four operations; learn about and recall areas of Time and investigate 3D shape.

As Musicians we will:

Sing songs in unison with clear diction and musical control. We will also improvise and develop rhythmic material with performing for a set genre of music. We will understand how time and place can influence the way music is heard and performed.

In PE we will: at the early
