Middle Leaders Conference Our Middle Leaders Conference ‘Judging the Quality of Education under the New Inspection Framework’ took place on 15th November. School Improvement Partner, Helen Gaunt, led the session which focused on the role of the middle leader during inspection, deep dives and lesson visits. Positive feedback was received, with colleagues commenting as below: ‘Thank you for such an insightful, engaging and collaborative meeting. It was great to meet so many other colleagues from other centres who had similar concerns/questions re: Ofted visits and "Deep Dives". Before the session, I was quite nervous and unsure about an Ofsted visit. However, I now feel much more confident and know exactly the expectations of an inspector. I feel confident in returning to my Department to share this information. Thank you!’ ‘Helen gave real examples of the new inspection frame work and it was an excellent presentation to help prepare middle leaders. I was grateful for the resources she supplied.’ ‘Lots of useful information on how to demonstrate what we do day-in, day-out so that inspection teams can see it during their visit.’
