Update from Pearson/Edexcel Newsletter—Edition 1 Winter 2015 Live Lessons We will continue to run live lessons for Maths, English and Science each week at 11am on our YouTube platform with all lessons: Maths Live Lessons Tuesday & Thursday English Live Lessons Wednesday Science Live Lessons Friday All lessons are recorded to access on demand after the event.

Diversity in English Really excitingly we have a GCSE English CPD session on Diversity in literature and the special guest is Benjamin Zephaniah! These sessions are open to all schools regardless of awarding body used. This will be held on 09 July 2020 at 4pm-6pm and we are expecting this to be very popular so please book a place quickly if of interest: English Live Events Mocks Service Following a really successful pilot with The Dean Trust I am so pleased to say that we have now launched a Mock Marking Service for Maths for the following subjects for GCSE and A-Level: English Mathematics Science History Geography Computer Science (GCSE only) The papers will be marked by our examiners and results uploaded into Results plus to enable schools to plan and implement a highly effective revision and intervention strategy in the run up to exams.

SEND Tribunal – DFE Guidance The government has updated its guidance for local authorities, health commissioners, parents and young people on the two-year trial to extend powers of the SEND tribunal.

The trial was due to end on 31 August 2020. However, given the pressures local areas are under as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, they have decided to extend the trial until 31 August 2021.

NPQ Autumn 2020: Applications now open until 24th July (Repeat Item) Funding has been confirmed for the NPQs, with the eligibility criteria unchanged until the end of the academic year - which is great news.
