‘What’s Going onGodley?’ What’s News?
Year 5 Golden Assembly

A great well done to Year 5 who put on a fantastic show this morning demonstrating their learning from this half term. Their challenge question was ‘How do explorers use imaginary lines on a map?’ . They showcased learning in geography, field work, English and music and talked so clearly with fantastic expression. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and thank you so much to the family and friends of Year 5 who came to support the children.
Year 2 and 4 field trip

On Thursday Year 2 visited Hyde as part of their Geography work answering the question –‘What is it like to live in Hyde?’ . They spotted all the human features of Hyde that they had found out about in class like The Town Hall, the old library, the market, flats and shops. They then sat down in Hyde market to create a field sketch of the human features of Hyde in the sunshine.
Year 4 have also taken their Geography learning outdoors this week and have been focusing on reading maps. They had to read their maps and focus on finding th h d h ical features of Hyde.
