The whole school attendance for this week is 93.9%, with Maple Class achieving 97.5%.

A huge thank you for all the chocolate and sweet donations – they will make a fabulous chocolate tombola for our Christmas activity afternoon next week.

Our film night raised around £500 for school fund (this allows us to pay for extra resources and additional activities and experiences for classes). Thank you for supporting us.

We have put up our decorations and school is looking all ‘Christmassy!’

Admissions Consultation We are currently consulting on our admissions policy. The document is available for anyone to look at on our school website until the 24th January 2024.

Rossall Astronomy and Stargazing day On Thursday next week, Year 4 and 5 will be attending a space themed day at Rossall School. Lunch is provided so you will not need to book a school meal for that day.

Please make sure you have returned the slip giving your child permission to attend.

Christmas Disco: Our final school fund-raiser this term is a Christmas disco on Wednesday 13th December from 5:30-7:00pm in the school hall. Bookings can be made on Parent Pay. We will be selling drinks, sweets and glow sticks so pupils may bring money with them.

Year 5 and 6 Lancaster on Ice Event – Thursday 14th December Please can we ask that payment for this event is made on Parent Pay by Friday 8th December.

The pupils will need to arrive at school for 8:20am as the coach to Lancaster will leave at 8:30am.

Christmas activity afternoon: On Tuesday next week we are holding a fund-raising Christmas activity afternoon. The staff have planned lots of different Christmas games which will be in the hall along with the chocolate tombola. All pupils will have the chance to visit the hall during the afternoon to take part. If possible, please send them with some money to spend – the games and activities will be 50p each or 3 goes for £1. (Ideally money needs to be in a named envelope please).

Christingle service – Tuesday 19th December This service will be held at St. Oswald’s Church at 6 pm. All pupils from Willow, Maple and Elm Classes will be expected to attend.

Families are welcome to join us, for what is always, a special service. Pupils should arrive for 5:45pm and girls with long hair, must have their hair tied up in a bun.

We will be sending donation envelopes home at the end of next week for the Children’s Society. If you are able to make a donation, please return the envelope with your child when they attend on the night.
