INTRODUCING OUR NEW SCHOOL BUILDING We are delighted to announce that plans for our new school building have reached a significant milestone.
Following the formal tender process and competition the Department for Education (DfE) have announced that the contract for the construction of our new building and school site will be awarded to BAM Construction Ltd. The school will now continue to work alongside BAM to further develop the plans for the site and building leading up to the formal Planning Application process. The building design conforms to a standard DfE model but we have been able to influence the design to incorporate the features we want to see in our new school. The pictures enclosed are taken from the ‘proposed design’ that has been developed so far and although they are ‘artist’s impressions’ give you a good idea of what the new building will look like and how some of the internal and external facilities will appear. These designs will obviously develop as we consult over the next few months and we will keep everyone up to date with the process of design and construction.
