Review - Jersey Boys The musical that I chose to watch was Jersey Boys. It is a story about how Frankie Valli and the four seasons got together. The main character is Frankie Valli, the lead singer of the group. It shows some of the most important events of his life, including how he managed to get his way into the band and how they all split up. Francesco Castelluccio was just a normal 16 year old boy, but he was well known for his singing voice in the neighbourhood. Later on, Frankie met another older man named Tommy Devito in a barbers shop in New Jersey, and he happened to be in a band with his brother and his friend. Devito often committed crimes with the other two members of the band, like stealing, breaking and entering etc. Frankie was bribed by Tommy to join him in breaking into a church to play an organ, but they were caught by police and sent to court. Frankie was very close to being sentenced to 6 months in jail, but at the last second, Tommy claimed to the judge that he made him do it. So Frankie was let off, and Tommy was sentenced to 6 months in jail. There are also scenes that portray some of the tours that the four seasons did together, that contain all of their best songs ever made, like ‘Sherry’, ‘Big girls don’t cry’ and ‘Walk like a man’. Later on in the story, Frankies daughter killed herself due to not being able to see him as he was on tour all the time. He left his tour and attended her funeral, but he could not get over himself after that. Overall, I think that the movie was very enjoyable, the cast and crew did a great job recreating events. Since the real Frankie Valli was part of the movie's crew, he knew what everything was like. I rate it 10/10.
