The Bishop Martin Sensory Room Introduction In Autumn 2019 Bishop Martin proudly opened our very own Sensory Room, to provide greater enhancement to our Local Offer and to expand the inclusive resources available to the school and wider community. The Sensory Room was partly funded by the Big Lottery Fund so is designed to benefit not just Bishop Martin children, but wider family networks and be available for use by other agencies . A visual Sensory experiences with 7’ Bubble Tube and surrounding mirrors Plush seating and textured flooring for touch and feel Bluetooth audio remote connection (with formatted tablet installed) for mood and music Diffuser for different scents to stimulate smell sense Full CCTV to ensure appropriate Safeguarding measures are in place (in line with the school Data Protection and Child Protection Policy) A range of handheld equipment for play/activity (including instruments, glow sticks, textured objects)
