COMMUNICATION & LANGUAGE beginning - middle – end character- setting Children will use talk to pretend to be different characters in imaginative play. They will use talk to pretend that objects represent other things. Children will be encouraged to use the past tense in speech. They will be abe to tell an event from a story in the correct order. Childen will begin to be aware of how stories are structured and use this to anticiapte what will happen next. Children will describe characters, settings and the main events in stories. During writing activitites they will have a clearer idea of what they are trying to write, having a go at emergent writing sentences. PSED

Reading and acting out traditional stories. A story character will come to visit the children! Building the characters homes from construction and junk materials.

Kind - brave – friend Through the actions of story characters children will begin to understand how their own behaviour affects those around them. Children will work together in role play situations to act out stories. They will learn to take account of other people’s ideas during role play.

Pop, Whizz and Fizz! Children will explore rhyme through the poem Remember, Remember and continue a rhyming string when describing fireworks. They will explore what happens when colours mix as they paint firework pictures. We will make firework music with percussion instruments. They will hear a simple version of the story of Guy Fawkes
