Headteacher Update for Parents/Carers 17/04/20 Dear Parents/Carers, Introduction Another week has gone by and I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and keeping well under these strange days we are now living through! Yesterday, the Government announced that the current arrangements would be staying in place for another 3 weeks. This will take us up to the week ending 8th May so we must continue to respect all the advice and guidance being provided by the Government and Public Health England for some time yet. With that in mind I would like to provide you all with the following updates for this week and into next. Free School Meals Update If you are eligible for (benefit related) Free School Meals you should have received codes to redeem for vouchers this week for WC 06.04.2020 and 13.04.2020. Please make sure you redeem these vouchers as soon as possible as the codes expire after 30 days. Once you have the voucher the spend time is 12 months or longer. If you are having problems please contact school by email @ (office@bishopmartin.lancs.sch.uk) Home Learning Support As the last two weeks have covered what would have been the Easter Holidays, we advised that pupils be given a break from the Home Learning resources/support we have been posting to the school website and Twitter feed. Next week would be the first week of the summer term under normal circumstances. Therefore, teachers will be stepping up again the posting of content and learning activities and monitoring the online subscriptions paid for by school for your children to access: (‘Bug Club’, ‘IDL’, ‘Numbots’ and ‘Times Table Rock Stars’).
