See if you can join in with the animals names and the song.

Day 1 : Today we pick up the story from when the bus fell in the pond! I suggest you use the picture to discuss ideas for the sentences. http://www.lovemybooks.co.uk/naughty-bus (Story read by a teacher) Or if you have power point see the additional materials week 9.

I am going to suggest that you look through the additional worksheets and complete them in your own time over the next few days. The focus is to write complete sentences with a good structure. I have provided sentence starters for some of the questions.

Please ask the question, discuss the answer, speak the sentence then write it. Encourage your child to read it back.

For anyone who wants to do more. Can I suggest you take your bus out into the sunshine and come up with your own story, take photographs of your bus story and write about it.

Ideas Joan Miró was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1893. He died in 1983 at the age of 90. He was a painter, sculptor and ceramicist. He was know for his use of simple shapes, bright colours, and the symbolic meaning of his artworks. He art is often described as being child-like, dream-like, and playful.His work is classified as Surrealism. Surrealist artists, such as Miró, Dalí, and Breton, wanted to show our dreams and unconscious thoughts in art, creating unexpected and irrational images.

Have you read a book that you would recommend, tell others about it.

Please note: If you have trouble accessing Reading Buddy but you are reading other books please let us know and we can add you to our certificate list each week.

Reading is important Please try to read every day, even if it is only a couple of pages.

Set time aside each day to read and enjoy the reading games on Reading Buddy. Why not create your own reading den at home, make it cosy with toys and cushions and read for pleasure.
