A message to Nursery families returning to school. Dear Parents and Carers, We hope that you are all staying safe and well. Included in this letter is information about the organisation of Nursery and ways to support our little bubble. Nursery children will be returning to their usual Early Years provision. They will remain in Nursery for the full session, including lunchtime. Free flow outdoor provision will be accessed as usual. Although there may be some slight changes to the setting and less children, we hope to provide children with the familiarity and consistency of our calm and caring environment. Below is a list ways in which you can support Nursery and your child: Own clothes- school uniform is not required during this time. Children are to wear their own clothes. Please ensure these clothes are suitable for practical, outdoor play. Layers that your child may want to take off during the day such as, jumpers or cardigans must be labelled with your child’s name. Coats- Please ensure your child comes to school with a practical waterproof coat, suitable for outdoor play in all weathers. As always, we plan to spend lots of time in our lovely Nursery garden, whatever the weather. Footwear- Please send your child to Nursery wearing shoes, which they can manage independently. For example, shoes with velcro, rather than laces. Children will be wearing wellies and will need to take their shoes off and put them on with independence. If your child does not have a pair of wellies in school, please send them in. Spare clothes- Children will require a bag containing a change of clothes. This bag is to remain in Nursery to reduce belongings coming in and out of school. Water bottles- Children to bring their own water bottle to Nursery. This bottle can remain in school. Staff will wash bottles and refill with fresh water at the beginning of each day. Sun safety- All day sun cream should be applied before arrival in school, when required. Parents to provide a protective sun hat, labelled with the child’s name. Sun hats should have a deep crown and brim. Communication- Please telephone or email school to pass on messages. We will also ring parents to pass on information if needed. We look forward to seeing your little ones soon, when our room will be filled once again with smiling faces, joy and laughter. Take care, From The Nursery Team
