Mr Andrew Reidel (St Frances de Sales) Mr Paul Gow Raising Aspirations Each child graduates from the raising aspirations programme having engaged with 12 hours of careers-led learning, completed an aspirations portfolio with 6 ageappropriate employability indicators and meets 5 businesses during an in-programme event. The aims of the project can be summarised as follows: 

Raise the aspirations of children by opening up the world of work and linking careers with the curriculum to provide personal development opportunities for children.

Inform children about career opportunities and develop their employability skills, ability to overcome barriers and build resilience so that they don’t eliminate opportunities based on who they perceive themselves to be.

Build connections with local employers and organisations to create

meaningful relationships that bring education and business closer together. Academic year of 2019/20: October 2019- July 2020 35 schools Enable children to discover their potential, explore the world of work and build resilience through our award-winning Raising Aspirations programme. There is a funded opportunity to receive a fully resourced, careers-led and Ofsted recognised programme impacting over 13,000 children this year. 

Flexible and easily delivered by teachers in years 5 or 6 so that seamless

curriculum links can be made across 12 hours of interactive learning. Per school: £2040 (the majority of which is funded) £240 plus postage and packaging of £30, equivalent to approximately £6 per child. The cost is fixed regardless of class size. Do you want your children to develop a stronger sense of self-belief about what they can achieve in the future? Do you want to broaden the horizons of your children and allow them to meet people from diferent careers and professions?
