Postgraduate Certificate in Research Informed Early Years Leadership Course Overview This course consists of two interlinked modules. The first will lay the foundations for a research project in an aspect of Early Years Leadership by exploring a range of research approaches, including the ethical underpinnings of research. In the second module you will actually carry out a small action research project into your chosen aspect of Early Years Leadership and evaluate its successes.

Why do this course? • You will be able to explore an aspect of leadership through a robust research approach. • You will be able to share your experiences with others in early years leadership roles in a safe environment and be able to learn from them. • It will give you a space to consider your own reflective practice. • It will enhance your understanding of research and how this investigates provision in early years education and care. • You will be able to consider how to involve parents and children in your research project, in addition to other colleagues, such as your peers.
