Plas Menai Preparing for the Trip

Plas Menai Practical Packing Appropriate outdoor clothing for a mix of weathers Comfortable footwear including outdoor footwear Share electrical items between friends e.g. Hairdryer Plug adaptors and mobile phone chargers Hat and Sun glasses Sunscreen TOWELS are not provided, bring 2 towels for the trip.

Remember you will spend all day on your feet, so wear very comfortable footwear appropriate to outdoors activities

Plas Menai Medication We require any medication for your child prior to the visit departing.

Please complete a administration of medication form for your child and return with the medication in a sealed bag to the general office by Friday 6th July 2018.

Plas Menai Spending Money Students are allowed to bring spending money with them.

They will be responsible for their own money and purchases throughout the trip.

We recommend ÂŁ50 maximum

Plas Menai Photographs During the visit there will be photo opportunities for which we would like to take photographs to show back in school, and in school media.

If you have not provided consent for your child to be photographed, please inform your child of this to prevent photographs being taken.

If you would like to provide consent please contact the general office.

Students must ask permission of other students prior to posting photographs on social media.

Plas Menai Visit Safety All students will be allocated a group leader who will supervise their group during the visit We will remind students throughout the trip about how to remain safe with regular instructions As in any large city, there are specific situations in which you should be vigilant with your belongings, tourists are a main target for pickpockets.

Plas Menai Personal Safety Students will be provided with Contact Cards that will contain: • Their student identity number for the visit • The visit leader name and contact number • The base contact name and contact number • The address of the hotel Staff will carry the mobile phone numbers of students for emergency use only. This will be collected prior to departure.

Plas Menai Group Safety Whilst on the visit students will be informed of emergency meeting points when on location.

In the event of an emergency students and staff will meet at the identified location for registration.

The group will then move to a safe place

Plas Menai Visit Updates School will keep parents up to date via the school Facebook and twitter pages.

Parents will receive a text message when the group arrives. Text messages will also be sent if the school is delayed both outbound and inbound.
