Well done to all the children and thank you to all the visitors who attended. Pictures are on the website and twitter. CLASS 2 ASSEMBLY - is on Friday 29th June at 9.10am in the school hall. All family and friends are welcome. YEAR 4 GUITAR RECITAL - Family and friends of our Year 4 pupils are welcome to attend the recital where you will be able to see the result of the guitar lessons led by the wider opportunities team. The recital starts at 9.45am and will last approximately 30 minutes. Children will be having a final rehearsal before the recital, so doors will not open until 9.40am. KS1 SCHOOL GAMES - was held at Leigh Sports Village this week. Our EYFS team took part in cheerleading, Year 1 took part in multi-skills and Year 2 took part in fencing. All 3 teams won bronze medals and were praised for showing respect and honesty. Well done to Bella Potter, Ella Quinn, Evelyn Latham, Sophia Burke, Blake Parker, Holly McKenzie, Ethan Ackers, Ava Talbot, Maja Nowak, Atherton Tickle, Ryley Littler, Aidan Meadows, Nathaniel Waterworth, Eliza Massey, Leah Dallimore, Amelia Naylor, Lucy King-Williams, Emelie Abbott, Lily Valentine, Rebecca Simm, Sophia Asquith, Hollie Nolan, Noah Holding and Rhys Biddiss. AWFUL AUNTIE - The Year 5 pupils went to Manchester Opera House to see David Walliam’s Awful Auntie - a fun and enjoyable afternoon was had by all. GULLIVER’S WORLD - our Year 4 pupils have spent today at Gulliver’s World celebrating having made their First Holy Communion. They enjoyed experiencing the rides and watching the entertainment. KS1 SPORTS DAY - will be on Tuesday 26th June (reserve date Thursday 28th June). Please ensure your child has a water bottle and sun cream if necessary. UNIFORM REMINDER - ties should be worn with shirts as per school uniform policy. OWN CLOTHES DAY - is on Monday 25th June - we are asking for a donation of toiletries for our tombola stall. Thank you. LEGO COMPETITION - is being held at our summer fair on 6th July. Pupils can make a lego vehicle of their choice. £2.00 entry fee. There is a prize for the most technical entry and a prize for the most creative entry. This competition is being run by two Year 5 pupils. SUMMER FAIR - Prosecco tickets are now on sale from the office at £2.50. Please see the reverse of this newsletter for Ozzy’s Cake Off competition information. Y6 LEAVERS’ MASS - Will be held at St. Oswald’s Church on Wednesday 4th July at 9.10am. All family and friends are welcome.
