Literacy This week we are reading the story ‘Little Red Hen.’ The children will talk and write about how they are helpful, discuss the impact of adjectives and create a story map to help retell the story.
Maths Our focus in Maths this week is 3D shapes. We will identify the properties of a sphere, cuboid, cube, pyramid, cone and a cylinder and link them to everyday objects. Can you find any 3d shapes in your house?
Understanding the World In preparation for our trip to Smithills Farm the children will be looking at how milk is produced, what it’s like to work on a farm that keep animals and learning how to use the ‘Book Creator’ app on the iPads.
