Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School

Welcome

We are proud to be part of a wonderful and dynamic team here at Our Lady of the Rosary. We have an emphasis on working hard, challenging ourselves, being independent learners and having fun.

We are a catholic school and work hard to foster these values in our children. We are an integral part of our whole community and fully reflect the cultural make-up of families in our area. Families of no faith or other faiths are warmly welcomed.

Each day we encourage our children to work hard, have a positive mindset, learn from mistakes, persevere and feel good about themselves.

Safeguarding

Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment.

Staff work hard to maintain an environment where children feel safe and secure. The curriculum is designed to ensure opportunities for children to develop the skills they need to recognise and stay safe from abuse including whilst accessing the internet. Children know that they can approach any of the adults in school if they are worried and that they will receive a consistent supportive response.

We have a team of Designated Safeguarding Staff, in school. If you have any safeguarding concerns, please make a member of the team aware.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

At Our Lady of the Rosary we believe that every child matters and every teacher is able to support special educational needs.

Children who have additional needs and need extra support in school are given a plan to help them. These are reviewed three times annually.

We have a SEN Co-ordinator in school who will liaise with parents and oversee support.
