OSWALD’S CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL LOVE JESUS LOVE LEARNING LOVE EACH OTHER “We are a learning community promoting the Gospel values of mutual trust, care and respect” NEWSLETTER WEEK ENDING 27TH APRIL 2018 WEDNESDAY WORD - GROWING CLASS 7 ASSEMBLY - was held this morning. The theme of the assembly was New Life. Well done to all the children and thank you to the visitors who attended. Thank you to all our parents who help their children learn lines for the assemblies - your support is much appreciated. CLASS 8 ASSEMBLY - will be held on Friday 27th April, at 9.10am, in the School Hall. All family and friends are welcome. DEACON PAUL - visited school this week to observe an Upper Keystage 2 Collective Worship that was delivered by pupils in Class 11 on the theme of resilience. CAREERS’ DAY - On Wednesday we had a Careers’ Day for KS2. The children had the chance to experience what different careers involve and take part in activities linked to these careers. The police, a football coach, electrician, an artist, an architect, a building surveyor, travel agent and the RAF were some of the careers that the children experienced. Thank you to all involved, especially Mr Powell, the PCSOs, Mrs Trickett, Shauna Duffy, Mrs Smith, Mrs Boyers and our very own Mrs Asquith! See Twitter and Flickr for photographs of the day! CLASS 9 CLASS MASS - took place on Wednesday at St Oswald’s Church. Thank you to the families who attended. ABSENCE - Please may we remind you that if your child is not going to be in school due to illness or appointments you must contact the school office and inform school before 9.00am.
