Lomeshaye Life We are now two weeks into the Summer Term and everyone is settled into their learning. The pupils have some great work planned between now and the next holiday and some exciting events to look forward to in school. This week our attendance is 96.5% for the whole school. This is wonderful news. Well done and thank you for getting to school every day, I hope this continues next week too as children will have the chance to win the attendance raffle for April next Friday. Sports Relief— the last week of last half term was very active in school. Miss Whittle and the Sports Team in school planned several activities for pupils to take part in during the day and also arranged a non-uniform day, all to raise money for Sports Relief. What a fantastic job everyone did as we were able to raise £1500 to send to the charity. Congratulations and thank you to all that took part! Bikeablility Year 5— This week pupils in Year 5 have had the fantastic opportunity to take part in a Bikeablity course. This course teaches children how to ride their bikes properly and safely. The children started by learning to ride well on the school grounds and then progressed to riding safely on local roads. The children had a great time and it was excellent weather for cycling as you can see in these photographs.

Countdown to SATs Year 6— We are now in the final weeks of preparation for Year 6 SATs exams. The children and staff and working incredibly hard as these important assessments approach and I would just like to remind parents to ensure that their children who are in Year 6 go to bed early, eat well, including at breakfast time and get plenty relaxation as well as completing any home learning at this time. It is extremely important that your child attends school every day and that routine medical appointments are made out of school time. There will be 3 school weeks from Monday until the exams begin. Monday 23rd—Year 4 working with Park Primary Tues/Wed—Year 3 and 4 athletics lessons at Seedhill. Friday 27th—Attendance Raffle in Assembly
