The theme of the assembly was energy. Well done to all the children and thank you to the visitors who attended. Thank you to all our parents who help their children learn lines for the assemblies - your support is much appreciated. CLASS 7 ASSEMBLY – will be held on Friday 27th April at 9.10am, in the School Hall. All family and friends are welcome. CLASS 9 MASS – will take place on Wednesday 25th April at 9.15am, in Church. All family and friends are welcome. Y3/Y4 RUGBY COMPETITION – well done to Adam Towns, Ethan Dickinson, Thomas McVeigh, Ben Abbott, George Green, Evan Burke, Cody Lyon-Ashworth, Maisie Trueman, Ryan Ratcliffe and Pearl Catterall. The pupils took part in a Rugby Competition at Leigh Sports Village and represented the school well. Well done! UNIFORM – The children returned to school looking very smart in their Summer uniforms after the Easter break. As the weather gets warmer, we hope we will see more children in their Summer uniform and hopefully we may even need sun cream and hats! ST GEORGE’S DAY DINNER – on Monday 23rd April, to celebrate St George’s Day, the children have the choice to eat a themed lunch. A separate flyer has been sent home. If you would like your child to have a St George’s Day themed lunch, please order through Live Kitchen. If you have any queries please contact the Main Office. SUMMER TERM DATES – these dates have been sent out in preparation for an extremely busy Summer Term. Please contact the Main Office if you have any questions. CAREER’S DAY – this will take place on Wednesday 25th April. The children will have the opportunity to listen to different people from various professions. We are certain that we have many budding lawyers, teachers, doctors and policemen and women etc of tomorrow! MINDFULNESS – Class 9 have thoroughly enjoyed a Mindfulness course, delivered by Mrs Barton and focusing on strategies to help the children to be mentally healthy children of today. Quotes from the end of the course included “I liked being able to relax, calm down and feel less stressed. I appreciate that Mrs Barton has helped me and my friends to calm down and not worry as much.
