Tigers’ Class Assembly: The Swinging Sixties This week, children in Year 5 have had great fun travelling back in time to find out what Britain - and Bishop Martinwere like in the 1960s. We’ve handled artefacts; created a human timeline of events; created art work in the style of Andy Warhol; written speeches inspired by Martin Luther

King as well as learning different dance moves from the decade and performing songs by the Beatles and other popular groups. We have learned so much and shown great enthusiasm throughout the week so we were very excited to share our learning in our class assembly today. We have a very talented and creative bunch of Tigers. Well done!

Easter Celebration Service On Monday 26th March our school are having their Easter Celebration Service at 9.30am in Christ the Servant Church. All parents and families are welcome to join us in this celebration.

If a child misses 8 days or more a year they will not achieve 96% this is reportable to Lancashire County Council and may result in a Penalty Notice being issued. Please ensure your children are in school every day and on time. School starts at 8.55am. LUNCH OPTIONS FOR LATE ARRIVALS The dinner register closes at 9.25 in order that the kitchen staff can provide the hot dinners chosen by pupils. As from Monday 5th March any pupil arriving after 9.25am will only be able to order either a jacket potato or a sandwich.

Easter Raffle Tickets on sale now - 20p each. Prizes: Chocolate Hamper, Large Easter Egg, Sparkling Wine & Chocolates, Maltesers & Wine and Maltesers. The draw will take place on Tuesday 27th March at lunch time. Good Luck!
