Cost
Expected Impact Raises the standard of PE and sport across school by providing pupils with high standard equipment and resources. By ensuring resources are readily available, children have the opportunity to, for example, have a ball each when practising football or a racket each when playing tennis. This, in turn, increases the amount of practice they get and helps them to develop skills at a greater rate.

Enables school to provide children with balls, rackets and other resources for use during lunch and playtimes. Enables our children to plan, officiate and play games that they have learned in curriculum PE in their free time, thus providing opportunities for intra-school competitive sport and leadership roles for older children Enables school to provide Active Maths lessons during the school day, and going towards the Active 30 Minutes that we are offering on a daily basis to all children. All Staff members undertook the Maths of the Day Training as a Twilight CPD to enable them to deliver the program effectively. Employing a full-time Sports Leader to work alongside the PE Lead has greatly improved the quality of PE & sport on offer. All classes from nursery through to Yr.6 now access 2 hours of PE weekly led by a PE specialists. Employing a Sports Leader also enables us to increase (a) the number of morning and after-school clubs which we run and (b) the number of teams run and competitive fixtures attended. The Sports Leader also plays an important role in promoting PE and sport throughout the school, supporting student teachers in the delivery of PE lessons and planning & assessing children across the school. We offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs termly, the majority of which are sport or dance related. Clubs are predominantly run by external coaches and are offered to children free of charge. Clubs on offer take account of the wide range of interests of our children and include football, netball, Street Dance, Multi-sports, Rugby, Dodgeball plus many more. Clubs are an excellent way of encouraging our children to explore new activities and also to consolidate skills learned in curriculum PE. Clubs are used as a pathway to school teams with many children progressing to represent school in competitive fixtures throughout the year.
