Rhyme Craft Congratulations to the Year 5 Tigers who recently had their poetry printed in a book. The children wrote diamante poems about space to enter the Young Writers competition. If you would like to see or order a copy of this book please see the office staff. Congratulations to Miss Harvey who has been successful in her application for a Deputy Headteacher position in another Lancashire School. Miss Harvey will be leaving us early in the summer term and we will inform you of her replacement once the appointment has been made. We wish Miss Harvey every happiness and success in her new school.

94.3% for whole school attendance The minimum acceptable attendance is 96%. If a child misses 8 days or more a year they will not achieve 96% this is reportable to Lancashire County Council and may result in a Penalty Notice being issued. Please ensure your children are in school every day and on time. School starts at 8.55am.
On World Book Day the children will be taking part in reading activities in class. On Monday 19th March Children and Staff are invited to dress as a book character to celebrate the start of our yearly book fair.
Parents Evening Booking System Our next parents evening is on Monday 26th March and we will be sending the invite by text with a link where you can book appointments to see your child/ren’s class teacher. If you would like to meet with our Headteacher, SENCo or Learning Mentor, please contact the office. If you are unsure how to book online please call in to the school office and we will manually book your appointments.
Next week in 3.15 club we will continue with our 'Wonderfully Winter Olympics' theme. On 'Make your own snack Monday' we will be making our own Olympic pizza rings. Throughout the week will be designing and making our own medals and creating our own Olympic torches using a variety of craft materials. On Film night Friday we will enjoy the first in the 'Mighty Ducks' trilogy.
